Darrell H. Cole
President & CEO

A native of the Southwest Virginia coalfields, Darrell began his career with United Central in 1976. Darrell has devoted the majority of his career to United Central and the industry it serves. Darrell has served the company in a number of capacities in the past. He holds a B.A. from Bluefield State College and a MBA from East Tennessee State University. He is a director of the Eastern Coal Council and a former director of the Virginia Mining Association.
Henry E. Looney
Vice President - Materials Management

A native of the Southwest Virginia coalfields, Henry has spent his entire career in the coal mining and/or mining supply industries. Henry is responsible for the company's purchasing, pricing and inventory control functions. Henry attended King College in Bristol, Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Business. Henry has also earned the Certified Purchasing Manager's certification.
Seldon V. Johnson
Vice President - Sales

A native of the eastern Kentucky coalfields, Seldon began his career at United Central in 1975. Seldon is responsible for all sales functions within United Central. Seldon received a B.S. degree from Pikeville College and has completed work toward a MBA at Averett College. Seldon has also completed numerous courses through the Industrial Distributor Association's (IDA) University of Industrial Distribution.
Allen W. Curtis
Chief Financial Officer

As CFO of United Central, Allen is responsible for the company’s financial interests and oversees the company’s accounting, information services, and credit departments. Allen obtained his B.S. in Accounting from East Tennessee State University. Allen is also a Certified Public Accountant.
